How to make it.
Print and decorate
Print at 100% on A4 paper. Color the front while the sheet is flat; keep glue tabs clear.
Cut the outline
Cut around the continuous outside line. Keep the narrow side tab and the lower flap attached.
Fold and close the sides
Fold every dashed line. Bring the front and back panels together; fold the side tab inward and glue it to the inside of the opposite edge.
Close the bottom
Fold the bottom flap over the outside of the back panel and glue it down. Let both seams dry.
Fill and seal
Insert a small paper surprise. Fold the front top flap over the opening and close it with removable tape or a sticker.
A few useful tips
- This is a flat pouch, not a gusseted bag. Keep the surprise light and fairly flat.
- A blind bag uses a soft pouch; a blind box uses a rigid folded box. They have separate templates here.
- An adult can help younger children cut the tabs.
